Bouchercon World Mystery Convention

I'll be attending Bouchercon in New Orleans and appearing on the panel "HERE, THERE, AND EVERYWHERE: Setting as Character" (in the Mardi Gras ABC room) with fellow authors Michael Stanley, Elisabeth Elo, Keith McCafferty, Sandra Brannan, and Kirk Russell. If you're at the conference and can't make my event (our panel is up against a conversation with R.L. Stine, grumble, grumble), please stop me in the hall and introduce yourself! I'll be the Maine-looking person with no idea how to dress for southern Louisiana weather.

A private reception will be held following the event at the Lunt Auditorium at Ocean View at Falmouth, 74 Lunt Road, from 8-9:30 pm. Tickets: $70.00.

This book festival set right on Linconville Beach hosts 36 Maine authors signing their books, which include fiction, non-fiction, mystery, children's literature, history, and art titles. Authors to appear include Paul Doiron, Jane McCloskey, Van Reid, and Kate Flora to name a few.

See the festival website for more details, including an author schedule. Although Paul will be signing from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM, the festival itself runs until 4:00 PM with many other signings.

The 12th annual Books in Boothbay: Maine's Summer Book Fair will be held at Boothbay Railway Village in scenic Boothbay, Maine. Dozens of authors from around the state, including Paul, will attend to sign their books, discuss their writing, and meet their fans. 

Admission is free. Books will be sold by Sherman's Bookstore.
