Paul has been invited to participate as a "distinguished writer" in Monhegan Memorial Library's second annual Distinguished Writer Series (last year's featured writer was poet Richard Blanco). While details of the weekend's schedule are still being determined, they will undoubtedly include a reading & signing and at least one other interactive event, and may include another Maine mystery writer.
Monhegan is one of Maine's few permanently inhabited islands, about ten miles offshore, accessed (in summer months) via pedestrian ferry (no cars allowed) from Port Clyde, New Harbor, and Boothbay Harbor. Paul spends time every year in this vibrant, beautiful place, exploring its many miles of hiking trails, conserved woods, and shoreline, and enjoying its fine dining, art offerings, and scenic gifts.
For more information about this weekend's events, please visit the library's website closer to the dates. For more information on how to get to the island and what to do once you get there, click here. (If you plan on spending the night, you'll want to make your room reservations now!)
